You’re in the right place! We’re here to help you every step of the way.

Located in Morehead, Kentucky, DOVES of Gateway serves survivors of intimate partner violence in Bath, Menifee, Montgomery, Morgan and Rowan Counties by providing safe shelter and advocacy for them and their children.

Our services are confidential and completely free of charge.

Making a Safety Plan

Leaving an abusive relationship is one of the most dangerous times for a victim. A personalized safety plan can help reduce risks and prepare you for an escape. From packing essentials to identifying safe exits and creating code words, planning ahead can save lives.

Filing a Protective Order

If you’re in imminent danger from violence, stalking, or harassment, a protective order can provide critical safety. These court orders can stop acts of domestic violence, enforce no-contact rules, and protect you, your children, and your property. Temporary custody and support can also be granted.

Emergency Housing, Food, Clothing

When fleeing domestic violence, immediate access to safe housing, food, and clothing is essential. We provide these critical resources to individuals and families in need, offering them a secure environment to begin their journey toward healing.

“[They] sat beside me in a courtroom when I had no family or any support system. Forever thankful for the DOVES program and it allowing me to create a life from rock bottom.”

Intimate partner violence often happens behind closed doors, but it is an epidemic that affects the entire community. It is happening all around us, every day.
