ONE IN THREE Kentucky women and 1 in 4 men experience intimate partner violence. Each year, Kentucky’s 15 domestic violence programs shelter thousands of survivors and their children, many of whom leave abusive situations with little more than the clothes they’re wearing. Providing food, shelter, and clothing is an essential part of what we do – but we need your help!
In order to restock our pantry, we’ll be hosting our 15th Shop & Share Event on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at area grocery stores. Shop & Share is a one-day donation drive where you “shop” for what you need at your local store and “share” an item with DOVES, benefitting our shelter pantry for the year ahead.
We’ll be collecting donations for DOVES at the Montgomery County and Rowan County Krogers, as well as the Menifee and Morgan County IGAs, and Bath County Save-A-Lot.
To take part, visit one of the participating stores on February 10 from 9am to 5pm and purchase items from our shopping list. Volunteers will be ready at each location to accept your donations.
Volunteers are needed to:
– Pass out shopping lists
– Receive donated items at collection tables in the store
– Transport items from the Stores to the DOVES Center (using your own vehicle)
